Paul Crouch Jr.
Paul Crouch, Jr., is Vice President of Administration for the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN). TBN reaches every major continent via 62 satellites and over 12,000 television and cable affiliates worldwide. TBN is America’s most watched faith channel and the world’s largest religious network. TBN is also the seventh largest broadcast group owner in the U.S. (source: Broadcast and Cable Magazine).
Mr. Crouch has received numerous awards in the field of television broadcasting including the prestigious Telly Award for outstanding contributions in commercial content. He has also received the esteemed Golden Halo award (for the Dangers of Rock & Roll special) and numerous Silver Angel awards for his exceptional work in the field of producing Corporate Videos. Mr. Crouch was also the recipient of the highly respected Media Golden Angel award for his work on multiple religion-based projects.
In addition to his achievements in both secular and religious broadcasting, Mr. Crouch has written countless articles for local and national newsletters and magazines, and he has served as a lead moderator and expert panelist for the National Religious Broadcasters and Christians in Media conferences. He is also a valued member of the BIOLA University media task force, has taught numerous television classes and has lectured extensively.
As a 35-year veteran of the media industry, Mr. Crouch has developed, built, and managed media businesses both in the U.S. and abroad, particularly within the areas of television, cable, production, and emerging media.
As the Chief of Staff at TBN’s International Headquarters located in Tustin, CA, Mr. Crouch is responsible for program development, program acquisitions, overseeing TBN’s in-line production values, and identifying potential TBN strategic production partnerships and business alliances. He is also actively involved with evaluating emerging media, licensing, and other transactions. Mr. Crouch develops and advises long-term strategies. He formulates product and brand extensions based on core TBN properties and cultivates intra-corporate projects across business units. He is also a TBN board member.
Mr. Crouch works closely with the senior management of the various TBN business units, which includes TBN Films, JCTV, The Church Channel, Enlace USA, and TBN Europe. He oversees out source productions and creative co-ops that are upscale and in-value with TBN’s high quality standards.
In 1973, Paul Crouch Jr., known as “PJ” by friends and family, began his apprenticeship in Christian television broadcasting with the founding of the Trinity Broadcasting Network by his parents Paul and Jan Crouch. He spent his teenage years doing almost everything in TBN’s Orange County, California TV production studios. This included sweeping floors, running cameras, helping with lighting and audio work, as well as directing entire productions. Always eager to learn, and ready to take on new and challenging projects. It was not surprising to TBN insiders when in 1980, at age 20, Paul in a bold move, left TBN and ventured out on his own to produce and direct various Christian television programs such as “Church in the Home” with Fred Jordan and a regular program for Dwight Thompson Ministries.
In 1983, Paul formed “PJ Video,” a full service video production company. PJ Video produced and provided video equipment, crews, and post-production services for commercials, television programs, infomercials, and corporate videos. An extensive client list included Dick Clark Productions, Disney, CBS, ABC, NBC, ESPN, Baxter Medical, GTE, Ford Motor Company, Fleetwood Motor Homes, Toyota, Nissan, Lexus, Infinity, Hyundai, Suzuki, and Honda Motor Company. Ministry clients included the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, “Hour of Power” with Dr. Robert Schuller, Campus Crusade and Dr. Bill Bright, Zondervan Publishing, World Vision, Calvary Chapel, Harvest Crusades with Greg Laurie, Focus on the Family, CBN and TBN. Paul Jr. personally ran all aspects of PJ Video while specializing as both producer and director of photography for video and film productions.
In 1985, Paul Jr. founded and began operations of a full service post production company called “The Edit Bay.” This first-of-its-kind broadcast quality edit facility in Orange County continued under Paul Jr.’s management until he sold the company to his partner Frank Konte in 1990.
In 1990, following in the television pioneering footsteps of his father, Paul Crouch Sr., Paul Jr., along with Jay Sekulow, established Sonlight Broadcasting Systems, a network of Christian television stations affiliated with the Trinity Broadcasting Network. Paul Jr. served as a member of the board of Sonlight Broadcasting until 1995. During his tenure, Sonlight Broadcasting acquired full powered television stations in Mobile, Alabama; Nashville, Tennessee; Memphis, Tennessee; Montgomery, Alabama; and Chattanooga, Tennessee. Paul Jr. was involved in building these stations, many of them from the “ground up,” as well as developing and producing television programs that were broadcast on the Sonlight Broadcasting Systems network.
After selling PJ Video in 1998, Paul Crouch Jr., now a seasoned TV production and successful entrepreneur, returned to Trinity Broadcasting Network as Vice President of Production to oversee new programs, program development, and special projects. Paul worked alongside his brother, Matthew Crouch, (8X Entertainment) as second unit Director of Photography on the TBN full-length motion picture, “The Omega Code,” named #1 Limited Released Motion Picture of the year (1999) by The Hollywood Reporter.
In his spare time, Paul relaxes by cruising on his custom Harley along the Southern California coastline. His other interests include camping, hiking, skiing, model building, computers, photography, and videography.
